The Trump administration moved Monday to dissolve U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut’s second TRO restricting National Guard deployments to Portland, citing a Ninth Circuit ruling earlier that day that lifted her first TRO and said the administration is likely to prevail. A broader prohibition on any state’s Guard deployments remains for now, as Oregon on Tuesday asked a court to block such deployments and an en banc vote has been called. Oregon AG Dan Rayfield condemned the decision; Attorney General Pam Bondi praised it. A trial is set for Oct. 29.
