Giants 'devastated' by Cam Skattebo's gruesome season-ending ankle injury

Rookie Cam Skattebo suffered a season-ending dislocated ankle in the Giants’ 38-20 loss to the Eagles in Philadelphia, his right foot twisting the wrong way after Zack Baun dragged him down. Teammates knelt and turned away as an air cast went on, and he was carted to a Philadelphia-area hospital for surgery Sunday night. Skattebo, who has seven of New York’s 21 touchdowns from scrimmage, still shouted encouragement from the cart. The home crowd applauded, and Jermaine Eluemunor, Jaxson Dart and Saquon Barkley voiced support. A physician, Dr. David Chao, projected he could return next season.
