Robert De Niro Urges Continued Protests Against Trump

After the weekend’s No Kings protests, Robert De Niro pressed his case on MSNBC’s The Weekend, urging Americans not to let up. The actor praised the demonstrations, said politicians must fear the “wrath of the people,” and warned that President Trump’s deployments of National Guard troops — including 300 from California to Oregon and boots on the ground in Chicago — risk intimidating voters before the Nov. 3 midterms. He predicted Trump would resist leaving the White House. When the term ends, he said, the Supreme Court will find a way to pursue him.
