Neve Campbell returns as Scream 7 trailer drops

Neve Campbell returns as Sidney Prescott to face Ghostface in the first Scream 7 trailer, after a turbulent development. Announced in August 2023 following Scream VI’s success, the film faced strike-related delays, creative overhauls, and departures: Melissa Barrera was removed over social media comments about the Israel-Hamas war, and Jenna Ortega exited due to a scheduling conflict. Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon left the project in December 2023 and was replaced with series creator Kevin Williamson. David Arquette, Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley reprise their deceased characters, with Courteney Cox returning, ahead of a Feb. 27, 2026 release.
