Warner Bros. Discovery Has Received Interest From Multiple Parties For All, Part Of Company

Warner Bros. Discovery said it has received unsolicited interest from multiple parties for the entire company and for Warner Bros., and will review strategic alternatives as it proceeds with plans to split in mid-2026. The move follows a rebuffed overture from David Ellison’s Paramount Skydance and speculation about other potential bidders; Netflix has publicly bowed out. The board will weigh a full sale, separate deals for Warner Bros. and/or Discovery Global, or an alternative structure merging Warner Bros. and spinning off Discovery Global. Executives emphasized maximizing shareholder value and cautioned there is no timetable or assurance of a transaction.
