Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said he apologized to President Trump this week over an Ontario-funded anti-tariff ad that prompted Trump to abruptly halt talks on U.S. tariffs covering steel, aluminum and other Canadian goods. Speaking at the APEC summit in Gyeongju, South Korea, Carney said the apology came during a dinner where they sat across from each other. Trump called the World Series ad fraudulent and said it aimed to sway a Supreme Court case on his tariffs. He also vowed an additional 10 percent tariff, after declaring he wouldn't speak with Carney for a long time.
