Five hospitalized after helicopter crashes next to Huntington Beach hotel

Five people were hospitalized after a helicopter crashed Saturday afternoon in Huntington Beach. Police and fire crews responded to Pacific Coast Highway and Huntington Street, where officers said two people were pulled from the aircraft and three others were injured on the street. Video posted online shows the chopper skimming a building, spinning, and plunging nose-first into roadway or sidewalk near the beach, hitting palm trees beside a seaside hotel. The cause remains unclear. PCH was closed between Beach Boulevard and Huntington Street, and drivers were urged to avoid the area.
