Public concern rises Trump disapproval grows

On day 30 of the federal shutdown, an ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos poll finds rising public worry and growing disapproval of President Donald Trump’s management. Three in four Americans are concerned, with 43% now very concerned, up from 25% on Oct. 1. Forty-five percent blame Trump and congressional Republicans, 33% blame Democrats; views have shifted little since Oct. 1. Disapproval has reached 63% while approval is 36%. Concern is higher among women and Democrats. Respondents across parties cite stalled negotiations and health care as core points of contention.
