I-195 Plane Crash Kills Two, Injures One

DARTMOUTH, Mass. — A small Socata TBM-700 crashed along Interstate 195 early Monday amid a nor’easter’s rain and 30–40 mph winds, killing both people on board and injuring a person on the ground, authorities said. Videos from passing drivers showed smoke rising from flaming debris as the highway shut in both directions near the Dartmouth site, about 50 miles south of Boston. State police said the plane may have been trying to land at New Bedford Regional Airport; officials reported no flight plan on file. The NTSB is investigating; victims’ names await next-of-kin notification.
