Democrats give Trump credit for Gaza deal but stop short of backing GOP calls to award him Nobel Peace Prize

Senators Richard Blumenthal, Dick Durbin, and Tim Kaine all expressed hope for the plan's success, but emphasized the need for bipartisan support and the resolution of remaining challenges. While some of Trump's allies have suggested he should receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts, Democrats have not endorsed this idea. The ceasefire agreement, announced by Trump on his Truth Social platform, is still subject to approval by the Israeli government.
