Donald Trump’s approval has slid to 37%, with 63% disapproving, a near record low in a new CNN/SSRS survey of 1,245 adults conducted October 27–30. Most respondents say the country is going badly, and the economy and cost of living top their concerns, followed by the state of democracy. Majorities say Trump’s policies worsened the economy and hurt US standing abroad, and 61% believe he has gone too far in using presidential power. Looking to Congress, 41% say their vote would register opposition to Trump, 21% support, and 38% no message. The White House has been asked for comment.
