King Charles III strips Prince Andrew of titles and evicts him from royal residence

King Charles III has stripped his brother of remaining titles and ordered him to leave Royal Lodge, Buckingham Palace announced, after mounting outrage over Prince Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein and fresh allegations in Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s posthumous memoir. He will be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, losing the title of prince and a raft of honors, an almost unprecedented step. The palace expressed sympathy for abuse survivors while noting Andrew denies the claims. The decision followed heckling of the king; Andrew is expected to move to Sandringham, and Sarah Ferguson will have to find a new home.
