North Korea unveils hypersonic weapon, new ICBM

North Korea unveiled a Hwasong-11Ma hypersonic glide vehicle and its newest Hwasong-20 intercontinental ballistic missile during an overnight parade in Pyongyang marking 80 years of the ruling party. State media hailed the Hwasong-20 as the country’s most powerful nuclear strategic system, though Pyongyang has not announced flight tests; its solid-fueled engine has undergone nine ground trials. The parade, following Kim Jong Un’s high-profile visit to Beijing, also showcased Cheonma-20 tanks and troops who fought in Ukraine.
