California Gov. Gavin Newsom said he is deeply concerned by President Donald Trump and allies floating a third term in 2028, telling ABC News' Jonathan Karl, 'They're not screwing around.' Trump has mused about running again despite the Constitution, and last week Steve Bannon claimed 'there's a plan' for a third term. Newsom recounted an Oval Office moment in which Trump, referencing FDR's painting, replied 'No, fourth' after Newsom said 'Third term?' and laughed when Newsom added, 'We're perfect little sheep, aren't we?'
