Shooting leaves 1 dead and 6 hurt at historically Black university's homecoming fest in Pennsylvania

One person was killed and six others wounded when gunfire broke out Saturday night at Lincoln University during homecoming festivities. Authorities detained an individual with a firearm and are probing whether more than one shooter was involved, though officials said there is no ongoing threat. Shots were fired around 9:30 p.m. near the International Cultural Center as crowds fled. Investigators, led by Chester County detectives with state police and the FBI, urged witnesses to share video. Gov. Josh Shapiro offered support, and campus officials described the community as devastated after what was meant to be a joyous day.
