A federal judge in Oregon temporarily barred the Trump administration from deploying the National Guard to Portland, saying she found no credible evidence protests had grown out of control before troops were federalized. U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut, a Trump appointee, issued the pause after a three-day trial and said a final order will come Friday after reviewing more than 750 exhibits. She noted most clashes were between protesters and counter-protesters and no significant damage or serious injuries to federal personnel, while appellate orders currently keep the Guard federalized but not deployed.
