Multiple people were stabbed on a London-bound train near Cambridge on Saturday, British Transport Police said, as the service pulled into Huntingdon. Emergency crews, including armed officers and air ambulances, responded after 7:30 p.m., and two people were arrested at the station. The East of England Ambulance Service said multiple patients were taken to hospital. A witness told The Times there was 'blood everywhere,' with passengers hiding in bathrooms and some 'stamped on by others' as they fled. Prime Minister Keir Starmer called it an 'appalling incident,' while mayor Paul Bristow described 'horrendous scenes.' No motive was given.
