Taylor Sheridan is shifting course, signing a film deal with NBCUniversal that starts in 2026, even as his television pact keeps him at Paramount, now known as Paramount, a Skydance Corporation, through 2028. Peacock, which has held Yellowstone’s streaming rights since 2020, remains an unlikely hub for the hit Sheridan created. Paramount retains the Yellowstone universe and Sheridan’s output for the next two-plus years, including projects from their new Texas studio partnership. Paramount is backing other big-ticket creators, while NBCU has secured Sheridan’s film work and awaits his TV move after 2028.
