Trump hands out Halloween candy at White House

Returning from an Asia swing that included a meeting with China’s Xi Jinping, President Trump and first lady Melania Trump handed out jumbo Hershey’s bars and Twizzlers to lines of children at a Halloween event at the White House. They skipped costumes, as orange lights and jack-o’-lanterns glowed to a rendition of Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Guests included families of administration officials, the military, law enforcement, and foster and adoptive families. Trump admired the crowd, saying it was almost as big as the ballroom, near an active construction site.
