Five people were injured after a helicopter crashed into a Huntington Beach parking lot around 2 p.m. Saturday, city officials said. The helicopter came down between Twin Dolphins Drive and Beach Boulevard, with bystander video showing the wreckage lodged in palm trees near a hotel. Two people were pulled from the helicopter and three others on the ground were hurt; all were taken to area hospitals in unknown conditions. The helicopter was linked to a Sunday “Cars and Copters” event. The cause remains unclear. The FAA and NTSB were notified.
