U.S. forces struck another alleged narco-trafficking boat in the Pacific on Wednesday, killing four people, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said, marking at least the 15th vessel hit in a two-month campaign that has killed more than 60. Hegseth posted video on X and said the strike, in international waters, targeted a boat run by a designated terrorist group; no U.S. troops were harmed. The Trump administration, which expanded the effort from the Caribbean to the Eastern Pacific, vows to continue and may hit land targets next, despite pushback from lawmakers and protests from Venezuela and Colombia amid a regional military buildup.
