Xi and Lee to meet at APEC summit

China’s President Xi Jinping will meet South Korea’s new leader, Lee Jae Myung, on Saturday afternoon on the sidelines of the APEC summit in South Korea, Lee’s office said. The talk is part of efforts by both to rebuild ties after years of Seoul moving closer to the US. It follows their separate meetings with US President Donald Trump, where Washington and Seoul finalized a trade and investment deal directing billions from Korean companies into the US each year.
