Keith Browner Sr., a former USC star and the 30th overall pick by the Buccaneers in 1984, has died at 63. His son confirmed the death to TMZ.com, which reported the apparent cause was a heart attack. Browner spent three seasons in Tampa Bay before brief stops with the Raiders, 49ers and Chargers. He was part of a family that produced multiple NFL players, including brothers Ross, Jimmie, and Joey, and his son, Keith Jr. Browner credited his parents’ sacrifices, recalling his father’s graveyard shifts and his mother urging the boys onto the field.
